You may start the new referral process by simply letting your clinic or provider know you would like to use our services. They will then send over a new referral form and your prescriptions for us to begin setting you up as a new patient.
Regular shipments will be delivered free of charge to your home, P.O. Box, clinic or any other safe location. Shipments arrive in a discreet box with no markings to indicate medications are inside.
Typically, we can ship out your medications within 24-48 business hours of receiving your new referral. Shipping time is usually 1-2 business days. If you need medication sooner, please notify us. We can try to make other arrangements for you.
Yes, we can send most maintenance medications along with your monthly anti-retroviral medications. Unfortunately, we cannot fill any controlled substances, most over the counter medications or medications that are immediately needed.
Approximately a week before the next scheduled refill date, a Vital Care representative will call you to schedule your delivery. During the call, we may ask questions concerning any changes to your prescriptions, upcoming appointments with your clinic or problems you are experiencing. We will also verify your shipping address. If you miss our call and are down to 5-7 days of medication, please contact us as soon as possible at 1-800-652-6157 to ensure timely delivery of your medications.
We can send refill requests on your behalf to the provider’s office. However, it is important to follow up with your clinic or provider’s office regularly to make sure an appointment or routine lab work is not needed.
Yes, if your insurance is eligible, we do assist with getting copay assistance in the form of manufacturer copay cards. We can also help find foundations that may assist qualifying patients with copay assistance.
Our blister packs are capable of holding 30 days of once a day or twice a day medication dosing. Each blister holds a dose of all the morning and/or evening medications. All blisters are labeled for the appropriate dosing time, morning or evening, and the medication name and strength included inside the blister. Blister packs are ideal for those who need extra assistance with taking their medications. We cannot include any medications that have special directions, 90 day supplies or as needed medications.
