Pharmacy Students

Vital Care of Meridian is a rotation site for pharmacy students to complete their introductory or advanced pharmacy practice experiences (IPPE or APPE.) These experiences concentrate on patient care in the home infusion, compounding or specialty pharmacy setting. Students might also have opportunities to participate in pharmacy management, depending on the type of rotation and preceptor activities. Students will be expected to focus on patient-specific drug use, sterile compounding techniques, monitoring of patient’s drug therapy, and communication of information to other healthcare professionals, colleagues, patients and caregivers. As a part of the rotation, students will complete a project to demonstrate their knowledge about the role and function of a pharmacist in a home care pharmacy setting.
